How to Prepare


 When to Be There and What to Bring – Summer Camps

DROP OFF & PICK UP:

Parents are responsible for getting campers to and from Camp Yukon. Registration time at Camp is 4:00pm on Sunday the first day of camp. Pick up time is 11:00am on Saturday the last day of Camp.
When a camper is picked up at Camp it is imperative that the camper be signed out with the Camp Director or designate. Otherwise appropriate authorities will be notified.

 

BETHANY BUS

Camp Yukon can provide transportation from Whitehorse to Camp and return for a fee of $20.00 per person providing availability of space.
Campers who use this transportation are responsible for being at Bethany Church by 1:30pm on Sunday the first day of camp. Campers will arrive back at Bethany Church by 1:00pm on Saturday the last day of camp.

 

WHAT TO BRING: Please label all items with campers name

  • Bible
  • Sleeping bag
  • Foamie
  • Extra blanket
  • Several changes of clothes
  • Warm jacket & rain clothes
  • 2 pairs of shoes (one must be closed-toe for horseback riding, rock climbing and hiking)
  • Hat
  • Swimsuit & towel
  • Toiletries, washcloth, shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste, etc.
  • Insect repellent & sun screen
  • Notebook & pencil
  • Canteen money (recommended $20 if not paid prior)
  • Teen Camp only: $40 for Paintball (optional) Do not bring your own equipment.

WHAT NOT TO BRING: Knives, weapons (real or fake), lighters, matches, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, or pets. NO ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT DEVICES AT CAMP (cell phones, tablets, iPods, etc.). If these items are brought they will be confiscated and kept in a secure location until the end of the week (digital cameras are the only exception). Cell phones may not be used as cameras. Wallets and treasured belongings should be left at home or sent back with caregivers for safekeeping.

 


When to Be There and What to Bring – Snow Camps

DROP OFF & PICK UP

Camp Yukon provides transportation from Whitehorse to Camp and back for Winter Camps.

Campers must be at Bethany Church at 5:00pm on Friday the first day of their camp. Please do not come early as we are not prepared to receive campers until check in time.

Campers will arrive back at Bethany Church around 3:00pm on Sunday the last day of their camp.

WHAT TO BRING: Please label all items with camper’s name

  • Bible
  • Sleeping bag
  • Pillow
  • Notebook & pencil
  • Hygiene items (toothbrush toothpaste, hair brush, etc.)
  • Warm winter clothes
  • Warm outerwear
  • Extra socks, mittens & hats

WHAT NOT TO BRING: Knives, weapons (real or fake), lighters, matches, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, or pets. This camp is unplugged: NO ELECTRONIC ENTERTAINMENT DEVICES AT CAMP (cell phones, tablets, iPods, etc.). If these items are brought they will be confiscated and kept in a secure location until the end of the camp (digital cameras are the only exception).
